AUGUST 2025

 2025

For annual ❄️ WEATHER DATA  <= over the years.

Can we say drought?! This is the Canadian NA satellite map. You can see our lack of clouds, and hurricane Erin.

August 2025 is unusual.

Aug. 31: lots of fires

Aug. 28 – finally, 43 mm rain.

Aug. 16/17

We're still looking for rain. I got all excited Saturday, as the clouds were coming for us! They were headed east, straight for us!

By Sunday morning, this is what I could see! Just about nothing!

Hurricane Erin

Forest fires are awful, and the heat has been terrible. All around the world, I know. Here is Kawartha Lakes, cottage country in southern Ontario.

Kawartha Lakes

Some neighbour set off fireworks and it ended up with a forest fire.
And locally, people set off fireworks on an island in the nearby lake. I counted 5 emergency vehicles go by. Forest fires are to be feared here. Our firefighters are volunteers.
