After narrowly avoiding hail larger than golf balls, we were rewarded with some classic supercell structure.

6 p.m. storm Aug. 3rd |
Thursday, August 3, began with tornado and storm watches. I was visiting a hospice client and we watched the weather. It was a bit spooky. The aftermath was spectacular. The tornado hit near Metcalfe (CBC News), but there was widespread hail.
Probably the craziest satellite loop of the year so far for S/E ON. The westernmost (and strongest) supercell can be seen interacting with the Lake Ontario breeze front pulling its motion right of expected RM motion. #ONstorm #ONwx #GOES16 #satellite @southernon_wx @isabel_ONwx pic.twitter.com/NXywBI8j2s

The area encircled in red will have the highest potential for large hail (again) & supercell potential with a chance of rotating storms. Deja vu? Buckle down for another severe weather day from SE ON stretching to SW QC #onwx #onstorm #qcwx @weathernetwork pic.twitter.com/KWzuBPS2FZ
