I needed to clean out the shed eavestrough. An annual chore.
The easy part was getting the ladder out and up. Next, I waited for Joe to come home.
ladder up
Up I went. I have bad knees, and once I made it to the top, I couldn't step-up knee-up! I thought I might just turn around and sit, then stand up. I got stuck. My big butt! I laughed so hard, as my attempts increased.
The Aspen trees still have some leaves. Poor Joe was cold. I was tromping around and heated up.
I need to reshingle the wood shed part of the roof. (Non-mental note.)
The previous owners seem to have reshingled the top roof. Not the lower one. It's falling apart.
ladder down
We've more rain on the way. I'm glad the shed is done.
It'll be indoor play today. At least I think it's rain. Could be snow. Snow tires go on next week! It is November, and this is the way it goes.

What a chore! Sue does ladder work here. When you have a wonky foot, it is difficult to manage ladders.
You are a wonder! Glad you finished without any mishaps.
I had my snow tires put on this week.
oh my goodness, what a ladder adventure! Glad coming down wasn’t a problem - safely that is! Are you going to rescue frogs again now that the pond has water?
Oh my you made me laugh! Just the kind if predicament I could get into. But no wonder Joe was worried. Not the best situation to be in.
Are you really going to redo that roof yourself? That's quite a job, especially with bad knees.
Hahaha, butt stuck in a ladder - that's a good one! I would've laughed at myself, too.
...two years ago I had leaf guards installed on our gutters. So far they are working fine.
I hope Rick doesn't read this or he'll have me climbing up there. You're amazing.
uh, that's a different way to use a ladder. Glad you had someone to watch, so they could decide when to call for emergency help. Hmmm, aren't these aerial adventures good for hire-outs? Linda in Kansas
When we're in tight bind sometimes the only thing we can do is laugh. It lowers the tension.
Lovely giggle over your rung misadventure. We got our eavestroughs covered so as to save JG trips up the ladder and other cleaning methods he tried. It is wonderful not to have to worry about clogging any more.
ANd yes, snow falling as of 5:00 pm today.
I don't climb ladders! I am not ready for snow or winter.
Take care, have a great day!

there was a time when I climbed twenty-feet ladders for a living. So distant a memory, it could almost be myth! Now, even three steps is a challenge. Well done that woman. YAM xx
I did gutter cleaning this week also. Yikes, getting stuck? Yes, I've done things just like that!
Glad you didn't have any mishaps.
It is quite the fall chore, isn't it. We had gutter guards installed 'cause the best I can do is sweep the leaves out of the garage, and that's quite the chore in a wheelchair!
