I've gone all out and ordered some straw. When they are past their time, I throw it onto Oliver's Lot, behind the pyramid. The soil is shallow, and it helps the sumac, milkweed and wild aster. I'm short one bale, as it, apparently, fell off on the way here!
We went back, and fetched another. Poor JB had to clean out the back of the car. Sadly, the whole thing fell over in the wind.
I have propped it up. I shall pop a pumpkin or two on it.
We're nearly at the last of the chrysalids. This is an eastern comma.
Down in the forest... he's back. I haven't seen him since July 10th. April 20th they trapped one and relocated it. This is my sighting page.

Hi Jenn :) Love that scarecrow! I think that pumpkins will look really cute on the hay bales. I went to a scarecrow contest when I lived on P.E.I. and they did a lot of decorating that way too, it's so autumnal! Junior is pulling at my heartstrings...I know they are wild animals, but in my mind I want to hug him and kiss him and give him treats lol...I'm sure some dumb tourist will do that for me though ha! I saw a flock of wild turkeys the other morning while I was walking the dogs in the woods. They are big!
The turkeys are particularly fun to watch.
Many people like me, have no idea what's going through their yards,
Fall cleanup time!
Don't work too hard! Save your energies!
I like the pictures with the hay bales (I'm a rather urban type of person).
Hello,
I love the bear video. It is hard to believe fall time is almost here, I am not ready to let summer go. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week ahead!
