Bird bath and water fountain, etc.

I had to replace my cement pieces: both bird bath and water fountain. Off we went through town for an errand first. We took a roundabout route. The truck caused an intake of breath!

There is some construction. This building looks to be nearly done.

As well as the new senior's residence, due to open Oct. 1st.

Contrast that with the youngsters!

I like this arbour, with the bench inside.

And this lovely wrap around porch.

I waved at the young man watering the hanging plants. I gave him a thumbs up, he laughed. The planters are at their best.

OK, boating season is coming to an end. I liked the 'S' shape of the buoys.

This makes me think of Sting's song, Fields of Gold!
You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barleyYou'll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we walk in fields of gold

More evidence of fall.

Poor JB, the bane of his driving are the roundabouts. The truck made it.

The next roundabout was being repaired. BIG line-ups. This was Friday morning!

Run a red light, why don't you?

Hansen's Garden Ornaments

Ta da! We made it.

A blue heron flew overhead.

Just so you remember, there was the bird bath episode.
I've been having trouble leveling the pedestal. First it leaned left, now it leans right. I went back at it.

I prepared, putting on my foot brace... on the wrong foot! ("Don't tell the kids!")

Here we go. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

There, a new topper and bowl. They lean a bit left. sigh. But it is nearly time to shut it down for the winter.

Break for Lunch

Prior to coming home, we had lunch at Shoeless Joe's! Joe Brian (AKA JB), wanted to try it. The food was good, nice and spicy, which is amazing for a chain. Each table has a TV. I couldn't see it, with my cataracts creating a lovely aura around it, with bright sunlight.

The shirts!!!

The lunch, a spicy stir fry.

And on another note... my son-in-law was on TV, again. We're so proud! His mom is in town, and could attend the taping. Such fun! I set it to record, and we watched twice on Sunday morning.

That home with the wraparound is very lovely - and your resetting of the garden bits looks good; here's to them getting through the winter! YAM xx

Good luck to Jean-Luc! I enjoyed this well-illustrated blogpost. The photos provide an interesting take on your region and your garden ornament mission.

Super bird bath, it looks sturdy, hard to imagine you will have such cold days soon. And what a massive truck to be in town, open roads would be a lot easier for the driver.

Each table at the eatery has a TV set?! Oh, My ; it's kind of exaggerated.
Your son is very handsome and represents a positive party - the Green Party! Good Luck!

I'd be inclined to pick up that lion from the gardening shop.
