Yesterday was glorious. We made it up to 15 C.! Big mistake last night, though. I cleaned the birdbath heater and neglected to put it back in the birdbath. It was - 5 C. this morning. It's going to thaw, and no harm done. Whew.

Off in the forest, the porcupine has been active. I've moved this trailcam back to the frogpond path. With the wetland thawing, their trails are limited and funnels them along here. This is the first sighting this year. porcupine.m4v
COVID–19
Ottawa Public Health says 107 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19. It's the first time more than 100 cases have been reported since January. Here, in LGL, they don't update the website weekends, but the media do. Ottawa is going back into red lockdown, as are we. We did our part by ordering in dinner last night. Our local restaurants seem to be doing OK with take out.
