It's another cold morning. We woke to 1 ℃ and I am agonizing about bringing in the fish from the pond. The leopard frogs are beginning to move to the pond. I am having fun watching the two bullfrogs, who are getting rather large.
The bullfrog hides in the sun in the foliage, digesting another wee frog! Ah, the circle of life. Here, I put arrows in to show you how close the two were. Plus Bullfrog has great camouflage.
It was a lovely day yesterday, as has been the rest of the week. The leaves are dropping, though.
The fisher loped by in the forest Sept. 10. Also, it came back Sept. 12th. I won't bore you with another video of it! They are hunting more seriously for food with the cooler weather. I love it's loping run, though.
I'll leave you with the bucks! They've lost the velvet off of their antlers. mating season begins in November, they will be ready.

I always enjoy seeing your critter videos. Thanks. Isn't it amazing that so many species walk across the same area, and must smell each other, but seem safe at the time they are there alone.

Oh my gosh, I love all the animal photos! It's so cool that you get to see so much wildlife right where you are. The bullfrog is so well hidden, I almost couldn't spot it, and it's amazing that the coyote with the wounded leg is still doing okay. Thanks for sharing these! It's so interesting to see how the animals are preparing for the colder weather.

Gosh! I haven't seen a skunk in such a long, long time which frankly is OK with me. We used to get their scent on many a summer night when we had our windows opened in Illinois.
Do you have any wolves up in your area? Have you ever captured any on your trail cameras?
I've been out of commission for a week computer-wise so probably won't catch up but wow -- what a mass of wildlife! Such diversity!

We do have wolves, Jim, just not very many. They are further north in Algonquin Park, for example.
