North Frontenac Studio Tour: Part 2

Here is part 2, from Tay Valley along highway #7 on our way to Ardoch. Just flip through them, if you wish. I like to look back, and Joe was the driver, so he didn't see much of it!

'Drive according to road conditions,' is the suggestion!

This is Tay Valley, I really like this spot.

I zoomed in to show the bridge.

The trees and the signage!

The sumac was the highlight of the trip.

Hay! While they harvest this at least a couple of times in summer, this feels iconic, and an end-of-season image.

I texted this photo to Caitlin, who is a hydrogeologist, as we all like rocks!

This is a favourite section along highway #7. The highway runs along the river/wetland. The water is incredibly low.

This photo really shows the low water, with the clean pink rock, normally underwater.

Here we are in North Frontenac. It was a bit of a drive.

Nice watch for reptile signage:

I like rocks!

Mazinaw Lanark Forest in Cloyne. It's worth reading about. Seeing the view from the top of the hill was amazing.

Oh Jenn! Your color is just spectacular! Every single image just screams fall, loud, clear and beautifully. What a grand drive you had. I couldn't possibly pick a favorite but I'd love to see it in person!

I've done the Highway 7 piece a lot (route to visit husband's family) and yow, that was low water. But you got some amazing colour shots and, I assume, enjoyed the drive. We always do, even if JG did get a ticket one year.

Beautiful part of the province for sure. My father helped build Hwy 7 as a young man through that horrible landscape as a young man. They were recruited as a make work project. He would often reminisce about his work time there, AND, that our ancestors has tromped through that area as they ventured northwest during their immigrant migration. Can you imagine?

We usually do a roundabout to Clayton, every autumn, but after going to Wheelers and then down to Gananoque yesterday, I think I’m pretty well satisfied with the colour that I’ve seen.

Fall is very much in evidence where you live. There is much colour here too, but I think that at least some of it is due to stress caused by lack of water through much of the summer. I welcome fall. I can hardly wait for the first frost.

Such beautiful fall colors! Very evocative, Jenn. Lovely to see them here in Hawaii. Thank you Aloha!

Absolutely amazing colors you have up there. Ours has not turned as deeply yet.
