Monday drive to Canoe Lake Road Part 2

This is the vineyard outside Westport, on our way to Canoe Lake Road. We stopped in there several years ago, for wine and oysters on the shell. Winery in Westport: daycation Part 4 The wine is $58/bottle!

This road hugs the lake. There are lovely views of the water and trees.

Along the road, I've always loved this pond.
The Canoe Lake Campground looks like a fun place for many. It's a bit too crowded for me, but I'm a grumpy old lady these days! There were geese in the shallow end.
Heron - just briefly!

It's a way of life! The long weekend in October is when people usually shut down cottages. I don't know about campers. We've had some chilly nights! The one in the last photo is for sale!

🐻SNUGGLE Bears are looking for winter habitat.

I was just thinking yesterday of what qualifies as camping. To me, it involves tents, not that I did a lot of that. Daughter's friend has a trailer, and she refers to it as going to the trailer and not as going camping.

A lovely drive you took us on. Lovely seeing the bears. I have a bobby bear displayed in our spare bedroom.

Unless you are very hardy, and your van has all the heating you would ever need, camper vans are not for winter weather. I KNOW!!! Your bears need a chalet with a taller roof, tell them to go and look at the big motor home for sale. that area looks so peaceful.

I just watched a lovely drone video of that route. Droning with Jamie is his page. Lovely vids.

It's such a beautiful time of year to be going for a drive, and you chose a lovely spot. We enjoy camping, and have always used a tent, but a couple of years ago, I said, "enough". I hate getting up in the night and going to the outhouse in the dark and cold. So now we have a little trailer and it worked so well on our trip to the Rockies. I wouldn't want to live in it fulltime, though.
