We had a sleepover!

 Our kids are in our bubble. We have had the grandies for 18 weeks since mid-March. The kids are working from home, and the grandies are homeschooling. Despite cases rising in Ontario: Ottawa, GTA and Windsor, we are hopeful all will be well with us. 

The kids arrived and we hung out. Uncle Jesse phoned and asked if we could do a Facetime. Bryony is adorable!

They went for forest walkies. Momma took these on her phone. Jos took them down to where the BIG puffballs were growing. There was another! I did not know. On the left the old one, on the right, the new one. They are amazing.

You can see two in the back. They were softball sized a couple weeks ago.

I asked Izzy to create one of her famous veggies trays! She even took her own photos. She spiralized the carrots.

You'll note that the fish tank is now full of water. Warming up for the fishies. It's time, Yam! I tried to get the pump going, Caitlin was starting to help, sa you have to prime it, but I hustled them off home. I fooled around with it later and realized I'd switched hoses. The intake pipe was on the outflow hose, etc.

Grampa had taped this, so we watched it Sunday morning!

That was a fun birthday party!

Yes, today I am married to a senior citizen! We had a sleepover and a party.
He's not really into birthdays for himself, nor Christmas. I like having the kids over for birthdays, though. It's so much fun through their eyes. It keeps one young!
Thing is, you can't just get close eyes for the birthday boy. We follow my gramma's tradition and everyone gets presents! If I had a birthday she would always buy something for my brother!
For our delicate flowers: Isabelle got a Darth Vader flashlight. Also, new washable markers. She knew they were washable, since there were bubbles on the packaging.
Caitlin was given a dragon's egg. It hatched a Toothless dragon.
Josephine: Anna, Elsa, and Olaf figures.
JL got a light saber.

In the morning, 6:30 a little girl beside Grampa asked something, she was so quiet that he couldn't hear her. He put on YTV for them! Retro cartoons, back from the olden days when Caitlin was a kid!

Izzy and I went to see if we could see muskrats. No dice! I did her hair in a nice, fancy ponytail, so she could see her drawings!
I created hubby an animal calendar for his office. All of my photos of critters near and far,alive and cats passed over.
He ordered himself a pie from the local bakery, sans eggs, dairy, yeast. Each of us had a slice with its own candle, then we sang happy birthday and blew them out all at once.
With most of us fighting cold viruses, it was the sanitary thing to do!
