🐍I was asked if I've ever been bitten by a snake, and I have. Once. It was a tiny milk snake, and it really was nothing. It was a shock! It was about this size!

A baby water snake |
We don't have poisonous snakes here, that isn't a problem. I don't pick them up, unless I need to move them. Most common are garter or ribbon snakes. Also, water snakes, who do bite, as they are very aggressive. They are wicked, so I leave them alone. I found a huge one, A canoe ride marathon: 9 km!, and it must have been 4' long.
Cinnamon was fascinated with the chickadee.

Another cat visit. I don't know whose cat this is!
🕷Lots of night visitors, including my spider buddy!
🧸The big news is BEAR moved on through. I have to put away bird feeders now.
We drove to North Gower to pick up the squirrel we are releasing. 'Film and news at 11!" or anon!

That birdie sure was busy! That bear looked pretty big... YAM xx
That's quite a big black bear. Doesn't look hungry though, just moseying along.
Whoa, that looks like a BIG bear! Was Cinnamon fascinated or did it look like a good meal? haha
Oh goodness. I am terrified of snakes and we have some dangerous ones around here. copperheads, water moccasins, and a couple others. Thank goodness we live a distance away from where rattlesnakes are found. That is a pretty good size bear! I know it must be a lot of fun to watch the videos to find what little visitors show up.
That bear lumbers along like our cat, or I guess it is really the cat who lumbers like a bear.
That looks like a BIG bear.
Thanks for answering the question, I was curious.
I would love to give you a few squirrels to relocate. They are such pests but cute!
You know what's travelling through your yard. I wonder what goes through other people's yards. I think they would be surprised.
Those black bears can be scary. I saw two in Montana when I was staying with a friend. Tried to get in the trash can to no avail. Thankfully we don't get them in Kansas.
Wonderful! All videos and photos are fabulous but that spider one was fascinating!
That is a big bear! I am very afraid of snakes:(
We haven't had a bear this year. Yet. What people mostly see at this time of year are the adolescent males that mama has kicked out because she has a new batch imminent. The young males travel until they find territory that is unclaimed by a more mature bear.
