The summer motors on. The horrid humidity broke, which was welcomed. I ventured outdoors and cleaned the water fountain, goldfish pond pump, and watered some. The deerflies are the worst right now. My hat patches work fairly well, except if I bend over to do my chores. They fly right up my dress and bite the back of my knees.
You cannot see Percy, but he is there. I hope he isn't growing any more! I'm still not sure how I will handle bringing him back in! The brown-eyed susans are happy in the sunshine.
The lilies are wonderful to see.
We've registered a complaint with the township. I don't know how you can have shooting demonstrations when our township has clearly rejected the gun range application due to noise and adverse effects on the rest of us. Such disrespect for us neighbours. He continues to mock the liberals and 'elites,' despite owning multiple parcels of land (for this one he paid $606,000), and being a landlord. He has successfully gotten a land severance for three parcels, carved out of the wetland acreage. One of the lots is for sale. Would you want to live here when anyone could come and hunt on the property behind you?

Hello,
Summer is moving along at a quick pace. The strawberries look yummy.
We are seeing deer in our yard every evening, I enjoy watching them.
Take care, have a happy day and a great new week!
...summertime and the livin' is easy?
That's horrible that they are still shooting and causing neighborly frustrations. Sorry about deer flies. And your garden has such lovely flowers! Mmm, here the gold fish can winter over in little ponds that are turned off and maybe even covered with plastic - but your winters are more severe. Percy may be like a super carp by this winter.
Sigh at the shooting. It sounds like he is trying a back door approach to having his gun range anyway.
Love seeing your land and garden.
The local strawberries are so good.
Sorry to hear about the deerflies'. Those strawberries look wonderful.
Sad that the gun issue can spoil many positive things about the area.
Hi Jenn! I'm still recovering from jet-lag but just wanted to stop by and say, "Hi!" Those strawberries look absolutely scrumptious. I don't think we've bought any this season.
We bought put last fresh strawberries yesterday.
Your garden with the blue and yellow flowers is lovely. And that's a big strawberry haul. I'm not sure what happened to mine but my total was 16 berries. Better luck next year.
We have a firing range two miles away and we can still hear the gunfire depending on which way the wind is blowing. People in our neighborhood on our neighborhood app sometimes mention they have heard gunshots and are told that's probably the firing range. It would be nice if the property behind you was turned into a sanctuary for wildlife. If I was rich enough I know what I would do. Your strawberries look wonderful!
That guy sounds like the sort who deserves a bad end.
