Now, knowing we are in Canada, when I turned it on, I couldn't find out where to change it to C. and metric measurement. This was discouraging. Not only that, but it won't work with the App unless it is plugged in. One of the problems with this house are the lack of outlets on the upper deck. I moved it under the deck.
The back of the box says to go to lacrosseview.com . It didn't do me much good. It was actually LaCross Technology.com . On the website, I found the download for the App. Once I signed up, I was sent an email. They want more money from us! The machine works without the App, but then I've no idea the outdoor temperature.
The App is free, but they sign you up with a 30–day free trial of the "Enhanced Plan." That plan is not free. 
This is what the App shows me on the iPad. Sadly, the hand held device isn't working. It reads 71 F. (21 C.), despite the fact that the App shows it is 32 C. We'll see how this works out!
I'm not thrilled with it, but is is useful.

I don't mind Fahrenheit and imperial measurements in general. I usually have C enabled on my apps, but somehow 95 still registers more with me than 35.
Don’t you just love the free things they offer, only if you give your credit card number so they can charge you. Hope you get the weather station working, we have one, no app, and it works on batteries, fun to use,
...and what TV station will he be on?
We have a Lacrosse one as well, I had to Google to find out how to change from F to C. Pity you need to pay to use the rest of it, we have a digital display in the kitchen and the outdoor fitting is in the porch. Our last one, we had to have the outdoor one on a post, at least 6 feet from a building and facing south.
There's always a curve thrown with new fancy things.
