Critters

I have two stories from Saturday with the grandies...

The cloaking device

Isabelle was off with Grampa to fetch a video rental. Grampa was finishing up inside, and Izzy whipped outside. She went to the garage to get into her seat belt. She walked right past the car. Grampa explained that he put the cloaking device on. Isabelle came bouncing in after the trip, raving about our car's cloaking device!

Dessert

I told the girls if they should take the cupcakes home. "Aaaahh," they rhymed in unison, as if it was too bad! They think alike, they say.

Things are pretty quiet around here, indoors. We have 10 deer, and 16 turkeys hanging about.
I went down to the trailcams and the fox left its mark on the trail, but escaped getting on the camera. They are clever that way. It's pretty sad when you can tell the different scats on the ground!

This fox I spotted on a road trip in May, 2018...

I realized the wetland isn't as frozen as it seems! I sunk down, where it had drained, and then landed on several inches of ice.

Feb. 14

The snow is pretty deep. I feel badly as they go through the deep snow.

Turkey chase

They seem to think it's time to get ready for spring mating season!

It was so cold, -20, that they stand on one leg, tucking the other up into their feathers.

 Isabelle on showshoes!

Animal scat knowledge can be a good thing, I think. So, enlighten me: what is a cloaking device?

Love how you capture the wild life around your home ~ not sure I would want to be cleaning up the 'scat' though ~ always a trade off ~ Beautiful little girl with gorgeous hair in the last vimeo ~ thanks ~ Happy Weekend to You,

I am surprised that there are still video rental stores.

Hootin' Annie, a cloaking device renders a Star Trek spaceship invisible. The kids enjoy scifi shows!
