It's a new day; a new dawn...

Her new owner has picked up Daisy. I'm recovering. Happily, her driver was JB's cousin. Small world. Her new life, with her new mommy, begins. Our stress is over, trying to protect Hooper from Daisy's jealousy.

In the evening, Hooper came into the room, carefully eyeing the spot where Daisy's dog crate had been sitting. He sat on my lap. Later, getting down, he went over to sniff the spot.

This morning, it snows. It's cold, and I made a fire. Usually, Daisy would assist me. Instead,
the other two cats, Annie and Hooper, were playing happily in the basement. Life unfolds as it should.
I know I did the right thing, as difficult and emotional as it is.

Hooper, funnily enough, seems to know he is free to explore. He took over Daisy's favourite spot on top of the fish tank light.

In the meantime, our phone is still out. I contacted hubby's cousin on Facebook to make arrangements for her to escort Daisy's new mom. Weird that. Such a coincidence. There were many hugs and my tears. It was comforting to know she is in good hands.

The phone has been out since Tuesday, will be out, they predict, until Jan. 31st. How do I know? I couldn't find any info online, until I went to Twitter. You see, online there is an option for a Live Chat, but they never have someone on that. Instead, I spotted a @Bell_Support Twitter handle and copied them on my message.
That got the attention of Bell.
They asked me to direct message them, and they asked for my information.

I've got carpal tunnel from killing Angry Birds. Caitlin and Tom are amazing at it, my two buddies. I saw this on Twitter regarding Angry BIrds: stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I have to change my strategies!

I tend to finish 2nd, for some reason. I used 1500 gold coins (which you earn during the games) and still didn't win last time around. It was great to really concentrate on something else, rather than rehearsing Daisy's transfer.

I tried going for a nice walk in the sun, yesterday. Wearing my snappy boots with the cleats, I'd forgotten that there was ice in our little ditch. Boom. I came indoors.
I think I'm over the hump. I've been waiting to watch This Is Us. A tear jerker series, which takes me away. I made  it through. The tears heal, and wash away the sorrow.

I hope you can appreciate the texture of the buck's coat. It's thick and lush.

It's a new day; a new dawn... not that I can see the sun. Another snow storm. Well, good exercise!

...what a gather of deer. In the Adirondacks there is a problem with 'Wasting Disease' when deer holdup in the winter.

Don't get me started on Bell!!!
Hope your household adjusts to life without Daisy, and I truly hope Daisy settles in at her new home.

Having those deer about must help your emotions a lot. Not many can experience that.

Well Jenn at least you have the internet to keep in touch. If our phone goes, we loose the Internet as well.

Seems like Bell are doing their best but it can't be easy in those icy conditions. Your photos really do show up the thickness of the buck's coat. that explains a lot.

The deer are so beautiful! I know you are missing Daisy, but it sounds like she went to a good home. So sorry about your phone. I gave up my land line over a year ago and just use my cell. The land line was not working most of the time anyway and they could never seem to get it fixed, so it had to go. I haven't missed it!

Social Media has a good place for times like this.( the phone I mean ) Daisy will be fine,I am so sure. The others will gradually know their own place too, and find it is OK to be inside or out in the snow. You will miss her so much, but a decision that is really the best one you could make. Bravery comes in all shapes and sizes and situations, this called for it in a ton or more for you.XXXXX

Maybe you can look at the situation with Daisy as she will be happy in her new home and all will be at peace in your house. Take care.

I wish Daisy well in her new home. I am sure it was both a difficult and a necessary decision.

i am notoriously bad at video gameI. My granddaughter finds this tremendously amusing but my grandson gets impatient with my lack of focus.

My word, a closer connection than you expected and one can't help think providence at work. Hooper and Annie will help the healing, with their adaptation - which appears to have begun immediately. The deer are gorgeous. YAM xx

I know it's been a difficult decision. Hopefully Daisy settles in at her new home.

That's a lot of deer. Sorry to hear about Daisy but I'm sure things will work out fine for everyone. We had to give up a couple of cats years ago and it was tough but they went to a good home together and we were pleased about that. Bell sounds like our internet company Eir over here. They are absolutely the worst provider so we switched to Vodafone and everything seems to be a lot better.
Have a wonderful evening and new week.

Sometimes I think three cats is what causes difficulties. We had that issue once upon a time. We are down to two, who give each other a wide berth and an occasional hiss and growl.
I'm a big fan of This Is Us. Took awhile to really get into it.
Looks like we are in for a really rough week weather wise.

I’m sorry you had to part with Daisy. I’m sure she’ll be happy in her new home too. Your backyard is such a wildlife haven. Wow!

It's good that Daisy has a new house, it brings peace to your home.
If the phone fails us, we no longer have internet, you really have a problem.
Best regards, Irma

I did catch up on all posts re your decision on Daisy! You did the right thing, but I understand how difficult it was for you. She just didn’t understand that she is a cat! She’ll be happy. You gave her a good start.

Loved seeing all the deer along the way as I skimmed ... and I hope you get all the electronics issues fixed soon. stay warm if you can!
