#3 Tupper Lake Trip; the town

Such a pretty town. We were right in the shoulder season. Despite this, the motels were quite full, as was the park.

Our hotel was cheap and cheerful.

Saturday, after our park visit, I offered to do a 'beer run' while the kids went to the beach to the park. I'd forgotten liquor laws. I was looking in the liquor outlet for beer, but they didn't have it. They have beer everywhere, though: in the drug stores, grocery store...right across the street. The kids had a good time, we stocked up.

I bought myself some wine, and stuffed it in the ice bucket. I didn't even realize there was a bar fridge! I am such an awful traveler.

We met the kids at the restaurant Saturday night. It was Mexican. What fun! Apparently, the 19th century lumberjacks made up stories.

Jos was having fun with her mom's camera!

Back at the hotel. Jos came in and took some photos with my camera. The grandies watched a kid video, while the adults watched Star Trek! The men had done a coffee run. A great way to start the day.

Checking out, our trip was nearly done. Sadly the pool was closed. When we woke up on Sunday morning, it was -1 C. and there was frost on the car windows.

Down at the beach, there were Canada Geese and swans nestled into the ball diamond.

These are fun. It looks like kids were commissioned to do paintings.

They were working on sidewalks, and had some construction going on. This house just made me nervous!

The Swiss Kitchen was the only game in town for breakfast. It was packed to the gills.
