Dundas Square

I will say, that my favourite part of our Toronto => Muskoka trip was lunch above Dundas Square. We could look down on the city, while not being jostled. This is an amazing spot, with an eagle's eye view. Hubby was beside a post, as he's not great on heights, but he didn't complain!

Eating out takes a toll on his stomach, and he was so careful.

You can see the restaurant, on the 4th floor, Jack Astor's, we took 4 escalators up past the movie cinema.

This is one of the few cities in North America with streetcars. There are strict rules about stopping behind the cars, which protects pedestrians. There were several Toronto City Police on bikes, and one caught an offender!


 This is an interesting crosswalk, where all traffic stops and pedestrians can cross in all directions, then just northbound vehicles get the green, and then just the east/west ones.


This is the view of the fountains, which many enjoyed. On Friday, they stopped the fountains, and set up for concerts, which ran all weekend. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, as well!

Lunch was fun. I seldom eat dessert, but splurged.


Above us, on the restaurant balcony, they have misters which fire off to cool down the patrons. It was a terribly hot day.
