Milton was set to hit early Thursday morning. He was early and landed Wednesday night. Collecting these was rather interesting. Look for the heroes!
🌎Zoom Earth had a great real time graphic.
There are many heroes, including the scientists at NOAA. They fly various planes through the storm to gather valuable data.

Slowest evacuation ever!!! 😉grateful for the @floridaaquarium who let us watch the evacuation of coral/moving animals to higher ground ahead of #Milton— like the sloth (it was a slow evacuation) and Africa penguins. Keeping the animals safe from surge and wind is their goal! pic.twitter.com/MFCay3Qn3V

...I sure am grateful to live where I do!
I've heard from 3 family and friends who are safe from Milton in FL...living in Gainesville and Brandon FL. Still waiting for a hello from those in St. Petersburg.
You are a keen weather-watcher.
I was so relieved to get a message from my cousin in Orlando area. They are safe and relatively unscathed. During Irma his church (he's a minister) lost it's roof! They've been through so many disasters. I keep wishing they would move back up here to E.Ontario, but my uncle is still alive and in a nursing home.
Scary and so soon after Helene. Anyone with animals will find evacuation even harder. Hope it abates and moves out to sea.
Prayers for Florida and thanks to all the first responders.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
So many heroes.
Shocking events these hurricanes so close together. Many heroes as you say. I wish I could thank them all and give each one a big hug but I will just say, thank you to all. Mere words just don't seem enough. Great report here Jenn, thank you!
