The doe has been busy. She chomped on one Hosta, leaving me another! For now.
Soon we'll say farewell to our critters.
I told one of our grandies I hadn't been swimming all summer. She was shocked!
I suppose it is better late than never. I found some seed packages from a couple of years ago.
And fun news. Jo decided to get himself a nose ring. He was babysitting, but asked for a Facetime video afterwards. I dressed for the reveal! His is real. Mine is a split ring I found in a drawer. They laughed with me!
That was a long haul, up at 6 a.m. Sunday to prepare the coffee, and Hydro working on our poles from 7 a.m. until noon! More on that later.

They do love hostas, don't they? Mine are -- well, decimated! The nose ring pics are funny. I've only been in the water twice -- and I mean "in the water," not swimming. I got wet and out. Lots of good reasons this year but still, sad.
You have some lovely blooms, keeping fingers crossed for you. I enjoyed the doe video very much. Her ears were twitching and turning. She was very aware of her surroundings. The nose ring you shared with Jo gave me a real chuckle. You are great at being a fun grandmom who knows how to keep her grands smiling.

I hear deer are hard to keep away from plants, and the hosta seems to have been a real treat. I'll leave piercings to others lol, but it is interesting to see how many different kinds of piercings there are these days.
