I went into the hardware store in town for supplies to work on my new bird feeder tray and the door jam, which is leaking cold air. In the store Friday, I picked up some sale items, as well as new weatherstripping. I was hoping to get that done before the cold weather came back, but that didn't happen. The front door leaks air.
My new, green bird seed catcher, intended to reduce waste seed, had 3 holes but it didn't hang well. It really needed 4 chains for balance. The mourning doves really like it.
Action!

Anyway, a new week begins. JB kicked me out of bed to put the garbage out. He has one bad arm, and that is my job. I was awake from 4 - 5 a.m., and managed to get back to sleep. We'll see what trouble I can get into today!

The wee twins are so fuzzy! King Charles wanders about. He is a 10-point buck.fawns and buck from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
Let us see what the week will bring.

...your amaryllis sure is a bright spot on your window sill.
I love seeing the deer.
Such lovely shots of the critters! Glad those deer have royal names...as they should, being a critter with royal blood! (so sayeth I) Good luck finding those glasses and the banner...sorry you still have to take out the garbage! Life has ups and downs, eh?
I'm going to move both my cameras today. Not seeing much interesting action where they are now. Just blue jays and red squirrels raiding the feeders.
Love your critters. I would be beating myself up for the damage to the amaryllus.
Enjoy your day.
Great critters, love the finches and deer and the cute bunny.
Take care, have a great day!
I like your feeder setup and enjoy seeing the variety of birds you get. We get mostly house sparrows and mourning doves lol We got a red-bellied woodpecker yesterday, though, and it had been a while since we last saw one. Happy New Year!
We get early morning garbage pickup too. Tomorrow.
Ah well, I need to be up to have a shower and go the physio.
These critters know where to find good things.
Well that one bloom you still have is gorgeous.
I'm glad William and Harry get along here in your forest.
Wow! That's a lot of snow in your header photo.
I like your deer visitors. My friend sits in his yard every day and hand feeds deer apples. He buys a lot of apples.
Lovely deer! Linda in Kansas
Reminds me that I need new chains for a couple of my bird feeders and the as yet non-existent raccoon-foiling kit! If we ever get cold weather they’ll cease their nightly patrols and leave me alone - maybe!
You may have assaulted the amaryllis but I can't see any damage from this photo. Doesn't it make you mad when you do that? I knocked a bit off the jade plant this summer and felt terrible!
What a cute wascally wabbit.
