Here we are and it is Saturday again!
It is katydid season! They are everywhere.
I spotted both a small viceroy and monarch. Honestly!
It's been awfully hot here. Weeding has been a chore. Critters are few and far between on the trailcams, except for Fred.
I've been featuring Fred. There is still no sign of kits.burrow from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
Fred groundhog has a burrow under our deck. I cannot do any better videotaping it than this! I'm trying to find out where the hole is under the deck.

One coyote or two? There is a bat or moth. The coyote blesses the area, too!
I love these two tree frogs! They like the corner of the railing.tree frogs from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
Coming back from putting out garbage, the catbird fetched herself a moth. If you watch until the end, you can hear why they call them catbirds!

One young 'un hit the deck glass and landed on the deck beside me. The parent landed in front of me, most concerned. There was a third one. Two of them ended up on the laundry tree.

Hello,
Great critters! The Coyote seems like a regular visitor.
I love all the birds and the cute tree frogs.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
...wow, the tree frogs sure blend in!

I'm dying to know if you have a whole clan of Freds now! YAM xx
I have some bird shots...forgot to include them for Sat. Critters. Will have to wait till next week I guess. Oh Fred, we want to see your babes!
I like the term “laundry tree.” Of course I know the object, but by other names. Nice photos!

Cute critters!
The tree frogs look like they never move. Do they stay there all day?
Good question Pat. They have since moved away from here! They tend to sit all day, since they are nocturnal.
I haven't seen a katydid in years. Cool! When I was a child I remember catbirds being regular yard visitors. Not now. Yours is a treat to see :)
Good eyes you got! I might have missed the froggies :)
Great photos.
That deck looks like it could harbor a great variety of critters.
On my hikes on Turkey Mountain I hardly see any wildlife now. No deer, just lots of robins foraging on the ground and the occasional skinny squirrel.
How I love your (to me) exotic critters. Stay as cool as you can.
I like the tree frogs, can't believe how well they blend in.
Happy weekend wishes.
All the best Jan
My bet is that you're not getting any cute little ground hogs.
You have a lot of company around!
Enjoyed the videos of coyotes, tree frogs, and the catbird catching the moth. The katydid photo is my favorite!
