Goodbye to the old licence plate. We decided to go for a generic one. My name has been in the paper a couple of time. Just because you are paranoid it doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!
I filled up the fountain, we snacked for dinner after our late lunch. Then I built a strawberry rhubarb crisp. The strawberries and rhubarb are from Miller's Bay farm nearby. I covered it up with the bee's wax cover. (It was a gift,
Lee Valley Tools!) We will have this for dessert for a few days, although we don't normally have a dessert.
We watched our most recent online show, Dalgliesh, and I konked out by 9 p.m.
Sunday morning, for Father's Day, Nutmeg nuked some veggies sausages for her daddy. I helped, of course. He is a wonderful step-father, and a terrific grandfather, and we love him!
It's a beautiful time of year, aside from the bugs. We await the monarch butterflies. The milkweed plants in the front are just about to bloom. The smell will be incredible.
Clematis and allium.
The Bartzella peony have set 4 blossoms. I've pink and white peonies, as well. Only the white have an aroma.
We cannot ignore the simple whites.
I cleaned out the pond pump. Percy is still alone in the pond. I've not decided what to do with Percy and his yummy friends. Normally, I get a break shutting down the indoor 60 gallon aquarium.
I nearly stepped on the spider. It appears to have eggs on its back. This is just with the iPhone.
Fred is obviously pregnant, the poor thing looks like how I felt when I was 9 months pregnant!

I like those purple flowers.
Hello,
Your flowers are looking beautiful. Take care, have a great new week!
...time goes way too fast.
Your garden is looking quite lush; I like the colour of your peony. Oh little baby groundhogs, they will be so cute but I am so so naughty to your garden.
I had one personalized license plate when I lived in MO. It was Tin Liz. Moved to KS and didn't want to pay the extra charge.
Although I am not fond of rhubarb, your dessert looks really good.
You have some beautiful flowers. I hope to grow milkweed next year. I read I should plant the seeds this autumn. Your yard is a riot of beautiful colors.
That is one very pregnant spider.
Fred looks pretty comfortable on your deck. That's an awfully full belly!
I love the scent of the milkweed and look forward to it every year. We protect a big patch of it right under the bedroom windows. It's a wonderful thing to wake up to in early summer. Ours are full of buds too so it won't be long.
I decided to keep my old license when I had a chance for a new one with the car purchase...JEL 1200 is easy and doesn't eman a thing! Poor ole Frederika!
That desert looks great! I need to get some of that bee paper. For Percy, since there are plenty of plants, I'd consider just throwing in a bunch of feeder fish (a grade above fry) usually small guppies or gold fish. If there is also plenty of food for Perccy and them, some should survive. It might mean feeding them flakes of something or another for a while daily. You might even add a new batch every week...just a thought. If you put Percy back in the big tank for winter, I wouldn't add the little ones...you've seen what happens then. But hey, it's still summer!
I would be paranoid about the old plate too. Especially after the whole shooting range issue in your area.
Poor Fred looks about ready to pop. Love your garden and envy the peonies which I cannot grow successfully.
I have only ever had a regular license plate but always wanted a fancy one. Hubby and I have different views so he won out, lol! Love Fred! I have only seen spiders carrying babies in photographs. It's fascinating that they do that! Pretty flowers! I took photos of my lilies for tomorrow's post, the first lilies I've had in the garden. Your strawberry and rhubarb crumble looks wonderful. Someone gave me a bottle of Bailey's Irish Creme a little while ago, and I'm going to be wild and make fudge with it. Hubby would rather have your strawberry and rhubarb crumble but I haven't seen any rhubarb in the store for a while. I will keep looking.
What a yawn!
Maybe the name should be changed from Fred to Frederica?
It is a beautiful time of year.
I guess we really have to be more aware of privacy -- what little is left -- these days.
Fred is heavily pregnant!!!
You have tons of flowers there.
My small yard has marigold and zinnia only.
Poor Fred..pregnant in summer is so uncomfortable. Your flowers are lovely!
