I did enjoy bird watching from the front window, again, but the thermometer told me I should get out. I managed to avoid the urge until the afternoon. Cold in the morning, it warmed up. I thought about making a snowman, it was that kind of snow, but I have photos of the old snowpeople!
This morning it is -4 C., and it is hovering there. I have to put the garbage out by 8 a.m., I shall bundle up.
I was curious about Richard Deer's wound. It seems pretty good. I used the zoom and the tripod to get a better photo.
The colour of their coats is so pretty.

After I took out the garbage, Jan. 30th, they were there to greet me. One was having a rest. I talk to them.

Just delightful neighbours! YAM xx
those snow people are awesome.. I will show them to my kids. Now all we need is some snow.
Love the snow people. What did you do to color their faces? So cute. And the deer are so sweet, looking for anything to nibble upon. That's so cold!
LOVE those tropical snow people! You are just a little kid to make those snow folks. Hope there's still some pumpkins under that snow for the deer. It seems cold enough that no infection could set in on that deer's shoulder wound. Be careful falling. I'd be afraid of hurting a leg. Linda in Kansas
I never cease to be amazed at the way deer cope with winter, especially deep snow.
Very pretty deer and that Blue Jay really shows up!
Thank you for showing me things I will probably never see for myself.
Our snow is all melting in the sunshine today.
The deer certainly are pleasant company.
I always say the same thing, but you are so lucky to have the deer so close at hand.
Great shots, especially of the deer. They look very healthy!
Winter deer coats are a little gray and very, very heavy to keep them warm.
Your snow people are adorable. LOVE seeing the deer and how many visit your property. Lucky you.
Your life with the deer is awesome.
I remember reading Bambi in elementary school was the first I knew about how hard finding food in winter was for deer. Being able to watch your in all seasons must be satisfying.
