Looking back!

I checked in with my morning Canuckle game. It is all about Canada, and sometimes is a bit obscure.

Saturday it was CLIFF. The info said: Baffin Island, Canada is home to Mount Thor, the world's tallest vertical cliff. In fact, it's steeper than vertical, with a 105-degree overhang. Check out this article by Jeopardy champ Ken Jennings all about Mount Thor!

We've been watching Jeopardy, again. We took a bit of a break. Ken Jennings is doing well with it. His article is interesting.

JB's back is better. It's a deteriorating condition, but he damages it from time-to-time. Happily Saturday he did groceries! I am so relieved!

While Saturday began at 6 C., it warmed up to 8. We had wind warnings, with wind gusts and a big drop in temperature.

Thankfully there are videos to look at.

I think she is looking for the lilies of summer! They are long gone, as well as the hummingbirds. They were well-wrapped behind the chicken wire this year.

To answer your question, @River, it's too much work keeping them indoors. I like watching them outside, too.
I read a study, @Jean, deer were seen eating birds caught in netting. They even fill their stomachs with branches, which give them something in their stomachs.
Thanks for visiting. Things are pretty quiet around here! I do enjoy seeing your down under gardens at this time of year.

The deer have a feast of pumpkins. I see.
It's fun to start the day with a little puzzle.

i have a dim recollection of trying Canuckle once and not doing at all well. Glad JB is doing better.

Glad to learn JB's back is better. I suppose less physical effort relieves pain, and delays deterioration.

Glad JB is improving

I could watch the Racoons all night. I'm pretty sad I know but we have few mammals in the UK.

I can sympathize with back issues. I'm glad he's getting some relief right now. It's so cold there! It feels cold to me today, and it's 40F here with no wind lol Those are such pretty lilies, reminders of summertime heat :)

The deer love your roadside pumpkin buffet.

Looks like you had a whole herd of raccoons visiting.

Hello Jenn, and JB too, I'll have to post some more flower pics for you. Interesting about the deer diet habits. Are you all set for winter now with snow tyres?

Love your lilies. I am not surprised that the deer are looking for them. And yes, keeping an indoor fishtank healthy is a lot of work.

There's still a lot of pumpkins. Deer eat birds? And here I thought they were herbivores. I imagine it would be hard for them to catch a bird if they weren't in a net.

Started at 6C and warmed to 8.
I would be frozen solid going outside at those temps. Heck, I wouldn't even get out of bed!

I loved reading about Mount Thor. Fascinating story as told by Jennings.

Those pumpkins aren't going to last all winter, I fear.

I like Ken Jennings as host and am enjoying the current champion, Cris, who seems so calm. I put my pumpkins out in back for the critters. We don't OFTEN get deer in the yard (though others in the neighborhood do) but I think the squirrels, raccoons and other critters partake.
