🚁Air Traffic ✈

This has become a hobby! I'm not sure what the Canadian Coast Guard is doing in flying around our area... it went around and around. Training, maybe? I'm not sure about this one. It's a frequent flyer, however!

This is a training jet.

Look at these travels! Two jets, I guess training.

This was a startling story. Apparently, there were two incidents on Lake Erie that night, but the dispatcher didn't believe that was a second one. There was a rescue off Port Bruce, but this couple couldn't see that rescue from where they were. That's what they told the dispatcher. Such a shame.

A 77-year-old sailor, Reginald Fisher, was missing. People saw a fire and flares.
It is the second time area residents have come forward describing seeing multiple flares the night the sailor went missing, saying the authorities did not respond to their calls.

The next morning, the couple said they saw the Hercules and the OPP helicopters. Reginald Fisher was missing for more than two weeks before a jogger found his body on the beach in the Port Burwell area

I was watching the air traffic. The sailor took off from the western edge of the lake. They found his sailboat near Cleveland.

This jet was a mystery. It wasn't on the radar, either!

...perhaps they are lost.

The Coast Guard would still get a lot of work for inland waters, I imagine.

We know a Hercules pilot with the army, he does go by Muskoka area on occasion.

Your airspace is filled with much traffic.

Jenn - how interesting. I can see how authorities might get confused about two calls that are similar - such a shame if someone died because of an administrative failure!
