Gramma Camp 5.3 Thursday swim and Friday morning: last day beach time
Friday morning we knew our monarch wasn't viable. It couldn't fly. We put it on the phlox flowers.
What a lark! We eased into the day, then decided we must go for another swim at the beach. The girls tidied up their things in the basement, then off we went. It was chilly in the wind, but the water was warm. (Once you got used to it!) The three of us got into the water on Thursday, but just the two girls on Friday morning.
Overnight, someone had had a campfire.
They gathered 60 snails and put them into the orphanage.
The gulls were hoping for a handout.
There is something about a beach and sand!
The geese were gathering for a group swim.

We watched an osprey catch a fish.

It was fascinating to watch the geese moving along.

This cottage doesn't seem to be loved.
The rental boats for the last of season.
On Friday afternoon, I took the girls home. Papa came home early from work and Caitlin and I went out to dinner for her 40th birthday. More on that tomorrow!

We lived so close to a big lake for 25 plus years, and the water was always cold. Loved the photos, and pity about the monarch.Your grandies are now beautiful tall young ladies. Those long legs!!
Looks like a truly FUN Gramma Camp. The girls must have loved every single moment.
Gramma camp is always a success. How much does it cost?
You're so funny, Red!
Our guys lost a monarch too. It wasn’t fit. Too bad.
Fabulous photographs.
All the best Jan
It looks like you enjoyed it!
