The turkeys are still quite happy we have bird feeders.
Hooper watches from the safety of the deck, then comes in and sits on the fishtank to warm up. I think I have to give away the bed, or wash it, as he won't sit on it. It was Daisy's in the dog crate.
I love watching them scrape away, looking for seeds.
See the snow on his back?!
This poor guy was cold. His foot was shaking, tucked in for warmth. I think. Or he is fine. Who knows.

They went and sat on the driveway, on one foot, propped up by their tails.
I moved the trailcam to the front porch. Two mourning doves, and our big doe.
This is an interesting selfie from down in the meadow. There hasn't been much other traffic.
The wee birds are amazing, too.

I loved your wild turkey studies. Never knew about their tail propping up the one leg trick. Not much feather cover on their faces!
Lovely photos with the turkeys looking for food in the snow, around the barren trees!
amazing they can all survive in the cold.
The turkeys look like such characters.
I wonder what beastie took a selfie!
The Crazy Turkeys out there in snow and such cold, maybe they are so well insulated they are OK.
Jenn - I have always wondered about the skinny little legs of birds - not much to keep them warm in the winter. I imagine perching birds squat on a branch and keep their legs warm that way. The turkeys must alternate legs, do you think? Have a wonderful week!
As we while away the winter. :)
