The poor trailcam, it's down to one hinge on the door, thanks to Junior Bear, who we haven't seen in months, thankfully.
This is where the trailcam sits, just to the left of the Google word. North is up at the top of the satallite image!
Then, a nice, big buck! I think he might be the one marking his territory in the scraping (see yesterday's post).

Then, a flying squirrel! You can see its little eyeballs on the middle left, then it moves a few feet. Isn't that fun?
Yesterday's set... for those who like orientation...
The trailcam faces south, on the left is east and the wetland, which is filling up. On the right (west) is the frogpond. The coyote is now taking a trek right across the wetland, but as November precipitation fills it up, they'll go back to circling it.
Buck was back.

It looks indeed like a lovely forest. I only hope the people that are supposed to take care of it , do a better job than the ones in California. In my country, fires are usually terror acts.
Modern technology, we all benefit, and satellite photos are amazing.

The animals must be used to it.
Flying squirrel is a good catch . There are more of them than we think.
So pleased you enjoy living in the forest … you certainly see a lot of different animals.
