Cardinal, bullfrog, deermouse, grackles, Annie, raccoons

This cardinal is a juvenile. Papa continues to feed it, although it is perfectly capable, albeit shy, at the feeder. This is so much fun to watch.

A bullfrog moved in for a couple of days. The weather was suddenly cold and he disappeared. I don't know if I scared him and he took off, or if he is under the water! I am hoping I scared him, as my wee pond doesn't do well in winter over freeze/thaws. In fact, I have to bring the fish in soon. Perhaps today.

I definitely scared off this deermouse. They tend to try to make a nest in this cupboard. I have my garden and pond tools in here. There is a wasp nest in here, too.

The birds are gathering in flocks. They are amazing. Since I took this video, they have flown south. Gone for winter.

JB and I heard a huge bang in the evening. Daisy hopped up, Annabelle began growling. I figured out what it was! They came back the next day, and I heard another bang. I realized I'd locked it in the garage, again!

Loved the action videos and your beautiful masthead photo taken from your canoe. Like Annie, my cat, Ellie Mae is growls at what she considers intruders.

I didn't see any bullfrogs this year, but a few big tadpoles visited our natural swimming pool. - Margy

Hello, Great video on the feeder birds. I like the bullfrog. The raccoons can be naughty, I put my feeders away every night. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend! PS, thanks for the comment on my blog.

Jenn - you have the best menagerie in town, maybe the country! I don't plan to post about this, but the other day my hubby found a dead bat in our house - in the middle of the living room. Our best guess is that it traveled in with some stuff my hubby purchased at Costco. Oh my!
