The military are having training.
Lunch was less than great. Chances R we won't take her here again!
I like the overhead walkway from Algonquin to the busses.
After lunch, their annual photo.
Then shopping.
The water is pretty high.
I love this pond. It's in someone's backyard.
I know the world has heard of our horrific Canadian tragedy. Ottawans have really shown their support for the families and the victims. So tragic. There are hockey sticks on porches everywhere.

Commemoration for the loss of young Canadians #HumboldtBroncos has been resonating through our great country & here, the Nation's Capital. Staff fr all #OttawaFire divisions have come together. As the sun sets tonight we reflect on the tragedy & send our thoughts #HumboldtStrong pic.twitter.com/qgur8unc2A— Ottawa Fire Services (@OttFire) April 11, 2018
It’s a fight that has gripped the nation, raised $11,443,800 through a GoFundMe.com page and sparking a #SticksOutforHumboldt Twitter campaign that has seen countless Canadians leaving hockey sticks in front of their house for the departed Broncos to use. Straschnitzki knows he’s a long shot to join that game anytime soon. A broken left clavicle, broken ribs, internal bleeding in the head all contribute to his daily pain, but it’s a spinal fracture that has doctors telling him the prognosis of him walking again is not good. Our hearts are with you; our sticks are out. #HumboldtBroncos #HumboldtStrong #SticksOutForHumboldt #RCMPNL pic.twitter.com/VevYCZEJCu— RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador (@RCMPNL) April 11, 2018

what a shame lunch was a disappointment - being with aunty was important though! Dreadful thing about the bus crash... YAM xx
I've seen some of the hockey sticks around town. I haven't photographed them though.
Blogland world wide, we share the loss and grieve in our own way for the families and friends after the Humboldt disaster. Hockey sticks, messages, quilts all show that people everywhere care. Sorry the lunch was not up to standard, maybe next time a BYO might even be better. As long as it is a sunny day.
We were disappointed that not one shop on our main street put sticks out.
