Spring approaches!

That was a surprise! I went to bed, after the kids had visited, and found lizard in my bed. April Fool's Day, no doubt.

With some blog buddies showing photos of beautiful crocus, daffodils, and the like, we're still brown, and frozen. It gives me hope, though, to see change creeping up the continent.

The goldfish pond is slowly melting. It refreezes in the night, though.

The wetland is slowly waking up. It melts at the shoreline, then eases into the middle. It smells wonderful.
Down in the forest, I spotted a brown creeper. There were several singing in the trees, as well. They are elusive, but for now the bugs are low, near the roots, and the creepers are obvious.

The crows are quite kooky!

The frog pond is quite frozen, still.

Yet, things are melting. Down at the fence, I planted bulbs last year in new spots. THEY ARE GROWING! Until the deer get them, I will enjoy them!

We did take the opportunity to go to the lake and see the birds that have migrated.

Yeah, still waiting here; more snow and rain... Over on the East side of the Bonny Land, the father's crocus and daffies are up and about. Nearly there! Your new banner photo is one of your best yet!!! YAM xx

You are getting a taste of spring but we are not even close to a taste. It was minus 26 C last night.

Your spring will come pretty soon. My daffodils in the float garden are in full bloom. I wish they would last longer. - Margy
