It was a busy one, with the girls. We get them back next Saturday. It was fun! In the meantime, garden delights.
There was a frowsy looking chickadee on the tree. Next, a sparrow with lunch. He was singing, with the caterpillar in his mouth!
The cones were dripping sap. It just struck me as interesting.
Then, there is the crab spider, lying in wait on the Echinacea! My videocamera is broken, I did this with the camera.

So, this is the Echinacea? In winter, I take Echinacea extract capsules when I get a cold; it helps.
I like the spider "waiting" on it. Good capture!
The Fair with the girls looked like fun....but I bet you are ready for a few quiet days like this one! Your trees are pretty interesting with the dripping sap and your happy birds. Take it easy the rest of this week and get ready for more fun times when your granddaughters return to make more memories.

Ooh I like that wee ghostly spider! We had a sky half-way towards looking like yours today. It won't last, but very pretty for the interim! YAM xx
Lovely sparrow with his lunch, and is that a spruce tree? pine? fir? beautiful pine needles and cones. Have a rest this week till the next adventures begin.
Interesting to see the spider in the coneflower!
Glad that you had a busy but fun time with the girls.
