When the red, red robin...

Buster and Batman
What a zoo!
I was think fondly of of Batman Not Robin. I made the mistake of taking in a baby bird several years ago. It is illegal to take in wildlife like this, I thought poor Batman was on his last legs. He revived.

There are so many people trying to rescue critters and birds that aren't truly orphaned. Fawns are the prime example.

Momma drops them off, goes foraging, and picks them back up. She can smell them, if they wander, and track them down.

I snapped a photo on Sunday, of a robin the day before it jumped ship. Screaming for food in another tree the next day, I was happy I grabbed a photo! I had captured momma grabbing food all the time.

I've seen so many birds feeding their fledged birds in the trees, just in the past week. The cedar waxwings are amazing! The fledgling (defined by them making it to another tree, away from the nest), sits and chirps, begging for food.

Our bloggie traditional bird butt photo! There are three cedar waxwings in the photo. It's the honeysuckle tree, and they love the fruit.

Lovely, but your last photo, on a wee twig, curved down with the weight of a feathered friend, wonderful.

I seem to have more birds feeding in the yard than for the last 10 years. It's great.
