Daisy goes frog hunting; docktails

Who is in the forest? from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
Daisy was watching her sister, then she did 'bear' pose. She heard something in the forest. Turns out it was a doe. She wisely climbed the tree. Then the doe was watching something else. It was another doe, which the first doe chased off down to the point. We went to sit by the frog pond. Finally, Buster and Annabelle followed us to the dock.

This video is about docktails: water snake, daisy, green frog, gone!

At 24 seconds a little insect jumped out from a leaf, maybe that was what the water snake was watching so intently. I always marvel at how cats seem to walk on all sorts of places, snow, mud, in rain, and on your pond edges. Love the dock, what a grand place for a glass of wine and the doe running in the trees.

Annabelle with her big fluffy tail!

When my parents lived in cottage country, deer would pass through quite often. The cats would be outside, and one time I saw one of them stalking the deer- up to the point the deer had enough and stomped her hooves. The cat got up and walked away with dignity. Another time my parents mentioned watching a deer walk quietly up to a snoozing cat on the lawn- giving the cat quite a startle by sniffing at her.
