Babysitting Day 7: It's my circus; they're my monkeys...

at least, for one more day!
Dorah was chasing a tree frog!
We created a beach scene. Happily interrupted by Dorah, who brought us a tree frog.

Back to our work...

After a busy morning, we relaxed with the Tunes app, the drawing app, and a couple of cartoons.

Next, it was a quick lunch, and then a trip to the Almonte Fair. It was terribly underwhelming. The parking situation was terrible, no parking anywhere near and no one to tell us where we COULD park. Admission was $10 for each adult, kids are free.
It was sad that the original group that was to put on the rides did not show up last weekend. They were having employee issues. No one told the Fair peeps.
"Due to unforeseen events, the midway company originally contracted to provide rides has pulled out of the fair.  Fortunately we have found a replacement midway operator Gable Bros Shows. "
Isabelle couldn't ride on most of the rides, she was too small. They cost $30 for 20 tickets, or $1.75 each ticket. Although, you could buy a bracelet for $30. Each ride was 2 tickets or more. I don't mind spending money on them, but they were pretty short little rides. Each game was $5.
We're up to $50 now, add $5 for the Wack-a-Mole.
No animals were in evidence, and we didn't see Little Ray’s Reptiles .
We thought that going on the Friday it might be fewer people and better parking, plus Grampa has to go to a Memorial Service on Saturday.

We made the fatal mistake of having Josephine win a prize (a monkey) and Isabelle did not.

Isabelle and Josephine loved the 'corn maze', where they ran around in circles in this maze for two tickets each.

Thankfully, they could go on the rocket ship and they did, twice! Isabelle went on the wee train twice, as well, she sat backwards, and was matched with a little girl. They chatted! Jofee found the dragon a bit scary, on it all alone, too. We told her she was brave. Afterwards, it was drinks all around.
It was hot work. back home, we went back into the kiddie pool.
When we got home, Grampa went back into town and picked up a lion puppet for Isabelle, who was feeling less than equal, since Josephine had 'won' her $5 monkey. On Izzy's placemat, was a note with the toy. She called her 'Lie-Lie!' She slept with her new pet.

We were given a note, so much fun that Jofee can read and write...
"I ♥ you so much,  Gramma Jenn and Grampa Joe!"
