Guess who came when I called the cat?

Yes, Rocky AND Sady.

I love those little toes, except when they get into trouble. Every night...

Well, to brighten a dreary Muskoka day, hubby brought home flowers. Little did he remember that these were the ones I put into my wedding bouquet seven years ago! What a generous man! And thoughtful!!!

Then, on a drive home from a course I took, I spotted these sitting in the field. Can you tell or guess what they are?!

Happy Halloween!!

I think you've been feeding him a little too much Jenn! And your poor cat certainly knows his place when Mr. Raccoon comes calling.

Oh these little bandits are getting ready for winter. I have found my cats and the raccoon sitting on the back porch together! Your cat doesn't seem too perturbed either! Looks like a nice bunch of turkeys there!

Could the critters out in the field be wild turkeys.

I haven't been feeding him intentionally, Bonnie! Every night I go out in the dark and bring in the feeders...They are getting rather rotund.

And yes, I knew some of you would spot my turkeys outstanding in their fields. I doubt we're having turkey for dinner, though. One of us doesn't like it, and I'm sure not doing any hunting, except with the camera.

Loved the raccoon pics, I used to have a pet raccoon when I was young(er). Her name was Bobo. I'd get up every morning and fix it a breakfast of scrambled eggs with bacon, and a cup of tea.

Raccoons are exceptionally intelligent and extremely adept at getting into things that you don't want them getting into, I lost count of the number of times Bobo couldn't be found until we started searching thru the food cupboards, only to find her tucked away in a corner with a box of her "find of the day" strewn about.

Bobo eventually realized that she was an animal meant for wild places, and left for her freedom. She was huge for a raccoon. While I would never now recommend a raccoon for a pet, I still miss my little furry ball o' trouble.
