Trip to Venise-en-Québec 4. The Hotel

We made it! It was a long, long drive. Here is our hotel. We were restricted to this hotel, as we were staying on points.
It's a fairly new hotel, attached to the golf course. If you reuse your towels, they give you a $5 credit!

The room was a bit loud, as there is only a curtain separating the bathroom from bedroom. It's new, clean and shiny. I figured out the 'wall' swivelled, in order to watch TV from either the bed or the couch.
Our room had a bar frige. It was stocked with some beer, but mostly wine you could buy.
There was a bar, and a dining area, both with patios. Excellent service.

We figured out the menu, all in French. We used our French with the servers, as best we could.

We did really well. Hubby has to avoid yeast, dairy and eggs. We figured out pain (bread), and pain de banana (banana bread), and so on!

Trip to Venise-en-Québec 3. signage

It was time to refresh our French driving vocabulary. 'Vitesse' = speed! So, in hindsight, these are speed cameras!
There are lots of Catholic churches, with majestic spires. Farming communities, for the most part, then small towns with two catholic churches and a strip club. New York isn't far away, and in hindsight we could have brought passports and driven back through the US.

There were lots of wineries (établissement vinicole, le Chat Botté), maple syrup (produit de l'érable), apple farms (you-pick => auto-cueillette), snow (neige),  strip club (danseurs nues), fire station (caserne d'incendie), garlic farm (d'lail), ice cream (creme de glace), brothers (les frères).

I like the stop signs, they show whether it's a 3-way or 4-way.
