I had another adventure. After my battery died Sunday, I left the car outside the garage. Monday, after doing garbage, I knew I was getting a delivery, so I backed it up to the garage. It complained, and I knew I best take it for a drive to charge it up.
Off I went to Smiths Falls, about 19km, which should have charged it some. I parked in a mall as I was doing a beer run. Got my beer, and it refused to start. Oh, sigh. I was desperate for some water, but didn't want to go into a store and miss my person.
I called CAA, and Kitley sent a driver. Once the call is made, CAA send tracker info for the driver, so you know where they are.
He did an interesting test, and told me there was a bad cell in the battery. He used a scan of some sort, and read it with his cell phone. Cool technology.
The driver started my car, and I followed him to the yard. They replaced the battery for me, and I toodled on my way.
Other news is good. Air Canada flight attendants have a deal. That will get things back to normal in about a week.

Sounds like a win |
We've still drought conditions. Our rainfall is down by 70%. Tuesday, we had 2 mm rain. Nothing to sneeze at.
I've found someone to redo out middle deck. Lots of fun! I still have to stain the decks before the weather turns.

Hello,
Technology is cool. Your strawberries look yummy. I hope Joe feel better soon. Take care, have a great day!
Good to hear you got a new battery. They don't seem to last as long as they once did (like everything else). It will be nice when the deck has been redone...but you're going to have some construction to deal with for a bit first, it sounds like. Yay to Canadian Flight Attendants! About time!!

I'm glad the car rescue went so smoothly... that could quite literally have become a real drag! YAM xx
I have been rescued by CAA in the past. It is comforting to know tha they are there.
We had lovely gentle rain for quite awhile in the wee hours of this morning. Hopefully it moved your way to give you folks a drink.
Good lord, not only can he not read, but he can't see either and he has the codes?
Loud applause for CAA. They have helped me out too... twice I had the battery die, and I have now replaced it so I should be OK in the future. The annual cost of the CAA is well worth it IMHO.
Glad you were able to get the help you needed to get the battery going...Hoping you didn't miss your delivery that day. Thankful that the workers have reached an agreement.
If they can track and analyze your car like, you evidently do not have a 2010 model. 😊
Uh, yea, if you're running a car with an ill battery, ya don't stop for a beer, nothing, unless you can keep the car running. Glad the airlines are back up; that's horrid benefits. Nice harvest. Linda in Kansas
I hope Joe’s back feels better soon. We don’t get our AAA out too often but we are very grateful when we do. I thought President Zelenskyy held his own quite admirably.
Hooray for new batteries. And even a smidgeon of rain.
Battery issue can be maddening. They usually don't give any warning.
