Crumbly Acres is moist and springy!

That was some rain!

I have to tell you that I appreciate my fellow bloggers. Several have posted about their Forsythia. Mine lives on the other side of our evergreens out the front door. I often forget about them. Thanks to your reminders I managed photos. There was a storm brewing, and all I had was the video camera, but I have proof of life!

The goldfish pond has 3 froggies. I'm thinking they over wintered successfully, unlike the 15 or so I fished out of the pond this spring. I did move 154 of them to the frog pond in fall, so I don't feel too badly!

It's OK to laugh. I usually take cracked corn down for the ducks on the pond. I pop it into a bag, carry it down to the pond, and fling it into the water.

The ducks are jumpy, self-preservation. There were about a dozen on the pond.

There is sat. When I went back down the next day (Thursday), it was gone. I just don't know.

Cinnamon had a grand time down there. The fallen tree has been attractive to a lot of critters.

Down at the frog pond, I climbed the hill and found the yellow daffodils matched the Ukraine flag.

Fred continues to enjoy the grass. The water fountain will be set up once my fear of frost is gone.

At the owl tree, I found an owl feather. No owl.

The hummingbird feeder is up. We anxiously await hummers!

Just as I finished editing this, I looked up and spotted the rose-breasted grosbeak! I am so happy to see them again. This is a photo at a former client's house. They were a lovely family. We've still got clouds.

It’s rainy this morning. This may get me out of garden work.

Love the Grosbeak and the cute frog.
Our forsythia looked so-so this year. I wish it had more blooms.
Have a great day and a happy weekend.

It's nice to see Froggy made it! And I love that forsythia. I might have to buy a bush to bloom next year!

I also love the Grosbeak and the cute frog. It is rainy today here in Montreal, a good day to do cleaning and organizing. Lovely post, thank you so much for sharing.

I can hear a Rose-breasted, but have not been able to spot him yet. JG puts the cracked corn on a protruding rock in the back field. The deer get what is on top and the turkeys pick out the bits from the cracks. We have neighbours with a pond who put up a duck box.
My hummer nectar is mixed and settling. Goes up today.

Those were tough frogs that survived the winter.

Waiting for frost-free mornings out here too! Fbo helped me move trellises to a new location where I'll plant sweetpeas in POTS for the first time, a new-to-me approach, much anticipated.

Loved your cracked corn donation (including container)! Hope the ducks appreciate your efforts. So good to see Fred and forsythia. Mmm, should make a song about that, including froggies!

Yes, all of your frog relocating was a success! I'd feed the ducks too, they are so cute.

I always watch for the Forsythia in town to bloom...they have buds. The voles got mine one winter and I did not replant it.

Love the forsythia. One of my favourite harbingers of Spring. As your frosts diminish we are expecting our first. Any day now.
