Our Vancouver grandkids (Bryony and Cluny) are having fun in the snow. It appears they went to another race event last week!
I've been out playing in the snow, as well. Critter action on the trailcams has been limited. The snow is knee-deep, and critters are better hunkering down and saving their energy. This includes Nutmeg!
Meantime, Cinnamon was fishing. I cleaned the tank yesterday, scrubbed out the pump and filter. Then I added a piece of plexiglass from my spare tank.
Joe bravely went out for groceries with the impending storm. He mentioned that the Canadian flag was broken. You can see the depth of snowcover. I knew snowshoes would be mandatory.
The forest was quiet. I've moved a trailcam, this is my non-mental note. You can see it on the left, below.
Meantime, it began to snow again. Just a light one in the day, then it picked up. Honestly, I'd rather have snow than rain or freezing rain. I just saw the snowplow go by, lights flashing in the dark. I mentally thank them!
I visited Track My Plow. Lots of humans out there working on our roads. Thank goodness for our tax dollars at work. They deserve a living wage. This is what I can see right now. It is supposed to snow all day, too.
Two cats are out on the front deck. You can see Cinnamon looking around. We shall see how long they last. It's -10℃ and there is blowing snow, with horizontal gusts. The bird feeders show the depth.
I don't know if I should start after coffee and brekkie, or just hunker down until it stops falling. The wind blows it right across the driveway. We'll see you on the other side.

And on it goes. Sue just observed that the town plows have been by, both road and sidewalk. The driveway guy will be around later, and we don't have to go anywhere today. Grandkid may have to travel to Perth for work though. I will check that out later.
I'm heading out now for our 2nd shoveling of the day!
Oh my goodness! That's a lot of white stuff to contend with. Glad the cats checked it out, and probably didn't seem much interesting. Keep warm and safe...I'd vote to wait till snow stopped falling to clear things. But then you know what works best for your area!
You got another big blanket! I fully agree, the snow is much better than ice. I love to see Cinnamon's antics :)
Walking in snow is hard, Cute kitty photos. Love the deer!
Take care, have a wonderful week ahead.
That's a lot of snow! Don't lose yourself or the kitties! Linda in Kansas
Hunkering down always sounds like the better option to me. We have a guy come and blow out the drive, and shovel our sidewalk - one of the many extra costs of me being paralyzed!
Cinnamon is funny. Love the deer.
Just hunker down and wait until it's over. You're going to be out there for a while.
It is too cold here to snow! It didn't get much above 2 F here today:)
You've had quite the snowstorms lately. Hope you are cozy at home with this latest one.
Snow is gone from where we live, other than the piles that were shoveled. They will be gone in a few days, too.
Your grandchildren look like they had a lot of fun on the mountain.
That's a lot of snow! The deer look quite happy about it. Nutmeg looks very cosy.
