Saturday's Critters

Things are relatively quiet around here.

We had a coyote visit us. They like the driveway as a traffic route as much as we do.

Here is one of our coyotes in summer on the trailcam.

The cats don't spend much time outside. Cinnamon likes the garage. He's caught a couple mice there. They really don't go after the birds. The birds have figured them out. Besides, tabby cats are easy to spot on the white snow.

Daisy and Dorah liked walkies.

Daisy liked hunting in the snow, having dug this vole out. She was rehomed as she was bullying another cat. She became an apartment cat and did very well there, last I heard.

Nutmeg could hear a mouse under the snow. It was awfully funny.

 The deer in the snow!

Our lone male turkey hangs out. We've had flocks in previous years.

The deer stare at him as he comes up the hill. They tolerate him.

I've seen dog zoomies videos, here are the deer, in the snow and cold.

Daisy and Dora look like twins! That Nutmeg! She's amazing -- "What good ears you have," said the wolf!

I like to see the critters. You couldn't get any closer to a dear than that, thought it was going to eat the camera.

You have a special place there. Looks like a place one could just sit and stare out the window all day long!

I feel like I could become an indoor person. It has been so windy and with the cold that has been awful.

I remember Daisy and the trouble you had with her. Glad she has done well.

Oh that curious deer that sniffed out your camera - what a hoot! Glad she didn't lick the lens...possible deer frozen to the camera! Well, her warm breath would have set her free anyway. Guess the turkey likes deer food!

Daisy looks so exotic in the snow with her all white fur. Love your visitors.

I don't blame the cats...stay inside where it's warm! We've had a lot of turkeys walking through out back yard this week too!

I enjoyed seeing your photographs, but for some reason I was not able to watch any videos ... a glitch perhaps, it does sometimes happen?

Wishing you a good weekend though, take care.

All the best Jan

Hello Jenn :)
Wow! so many wild animals pass your way. Amazing creatures all, but it's always great to have a good mouser in the family. :) Here it doesn't snow but it is bitterly cold and stormy. I keep indoors where it's nice and warm. Thanks for a look into your world.
All the best
