I remember our melt!

We've noticed only a pair of deer, sometimes 6, but very few compared to other years. The deer have been scraping the snow off of the green grass. It has since frozen! And snowed.

It would have been a great skating rink, except for the vegetation sticking up. I only remember doing that twice one winter. It seldom freezes flat.

I marched up the hill from the meadow. Our Ukraine flag blowing in the wind.

Grampa's new flag! It was a gift!

📺 As a football widow, I was watching American Dreamer, with Peter Dinklage and Shirley Maclaine (2021). Silly, funny, pratfalls, and all. Shirley Maclaine is 90 this year. She was in her late 80s for the film.

We began going back to viewing Hope Street, from Britbox, and this'll tide us through until we have more recent show updates. We are rather disappointed with the final season. They have had major changes in cast, and there is a lot of interpersonal relationships, almost soap opera-ish. I think they jumped the shark.

Then, there is this news item. This is one of the plots in one episode of Hope Street. It was life imitating art.

🔥 In more news, we are still helping our neighbours, despite the threats from the south.

There are a lot of crews working to help.

This poor reporter...

I feel badly for them. At least they have the infrastructure to support them, unlike disasters in other countries.

We didn't watch Hope St past the first episode, maybe two. Stay warm.

We are enjoying Murders In the Building. Well written and clever. We're in for some winter weather, a rare occurrence here. Hope you have a lovely day.

I wish our temps would warm up some, this last snow is not melting with the temps so low. The fires in California are devastating. My prayers go out to the fire/rescue workers, homeowners and business owners. There is so much loss.
Take care, have a great day!

...this has been an up and down winter, but it's snowing now.

After our rude and stupid comments by the pres elect yesterday...I'm stumped.
Anyway none of the news coverage I saw here has mentioned the fact that Canada has been helping out. How weird is that? Maybe I am not listening to the proper news outlets.

It is heartbreaking to see this. I saw a video of embers flowing down a street into an untouched neighbor hood that then caught fire.
Mother Nature is very angry.

The pictures of the fires are horrifying, awful.

I love seeing the beautiful snow...not so much ice though...We were supposed to have snow today, but I guess the weather has shifted and is going mostly North. You all would laugh at us Texans when it comes to snow and ice. Our schools are all out for a bad weather day, just because there was a slight chance of snow. It is now in the upper 30's and rain only. they will all be sad when they have to make up this bad weather day....Have a good one Jenn....Maybe the deer are all snuggled up somewhere and keeping warm...

We are getting our first snow of the season right now and I don't like it one bit!! (practicing my old man rant). It is actually not bad if you are retired and don't have anywhere to go or anything to get.

I vary between thinking trump is a genius and the biggest dumbass ever. He is making a genius move now. Everybody is wondering how he is going to be bring the price of eggs down and get gasoline to $2 a gallon and he just blows it up with off the cuff, not thought, most lies, statements about the Panama Canal, Canada, and Greenland and the internet and news just blows up and forgets all the other crap. Genius.

Canada has been a great to the US over the years.

The trauma these people in the fires go through will never go away.

It's definitely a sad time for Californians...many many people and places impacted by the fires. Yes, I knew about Canadian help, either planes or helicopters. Thank you! Sorry we have nothing worth giving back to you...want a stinking politician or twenty? These are times that will be hard on so many...the news doesn't mention other things where people suffer all over. Our big snow is due tomorrow but to melt the next day.

Thank you, Canada, for helping California. (Most of them didn't vote for Trump, so that's good.) He is an idiot.

Always enjoy my walk around your lovely property. Everything looks very wintry but absolutely beautiful! I have been watching them in complete horror. My heart goes out to the people and the wildlife. I wish we could send our snow to help them out. We are all human, our hearts feel for those who are in desperate need and love Canada for the help it is giving. Thank you Canada! I am ignoring other news, though at the same time will be remembering, if that makes any sense. People need help, full stop! People are giving it despite everything else. Way to go my northern friends, you are incredible! p.s. love grandpa’s new flag.
