Watching the deer provides much entertainment. I moved one camera, but I didn't get much. It does show how difficult it is moving around in the snow.

Duke came by for a visit!

Prince Harry had a split ear on Jan. 21. It is tricky navigating this world. We have both a Bobcat, and many coyotes. Most cannot take down a healthy deer, but running on the icy snow is awful. JB noticed that Duke is missing part of his tail! You can compare with other deer. It should end in a point. I often wonder what happens to them out there. Otherwise he is holding his own.

Adorables! YAM xx
You should get some good photos today.
...I hope that Duke makes it.
I was wondering how you can tell one deer from another! Poor little things with feet that plunge through the snow with each step. You must have left some great scent on the camera for that one to come explore it!
Enjoy your deer watching
I wonder how long the hot chocolate stayed hot? Many years ago when our girls were young, we went to the mountains for a day in the snow, a very rare visit.Cannot remember but think we just used a sled( My Dad had made one) and plastic bags and did sliding. On the way home stopped over for a drink, not far from the snow. soup in a cup, made with boiling water.BUT, it was still so cold, by the time I had poured the 4 cups, the first one was cold !!!Harry and Duke, what a slog to walk in that deep snow.
I hope Duke will be OK. That all of them will be OK.
I enjoy watching your friends with you!
The critters go through some bad times.
