We've had storms! The wind blew the snow off the trees and they lifted, again. Whew!
I shoved the metre stick in while I worked on the sludge at the driveway. I keep thinking, oh, around January, that I ought to put markers in to be able to tell where the edge of the driveway is. It's too late in January! The tires keep falling off the asphalt and I have to get it back up. But, of course, in the fall the thought is gone!
We had a nice surprise Wednesday. A 'new' buck! The wind blew the snow off the trees, and the sun shone, for a time.
Here is the new buck: a 12-point. Now, King Charles is our 8-point, and Prince Harry has 6 points. The new buck turned up with King Charles and Pickle Stabber.
We have to figure out another name! Seriously, though, they will lose their antlers in the cold depths of winter anytime soon (January/February)! By then, you can only tell them apart but how majestically they walk.

Emporer!!! What a handsome lad... YAM xx
He's very handsome, Jenn. What a stunning creature!
They must have chatted with each other the other night, when hunkered down from the storm..."you know where there's good eating these days, don't cha?" So beautiful to see new buck. And yes, putting those marker poles by driveway sure would be smart. You are smart. It will get done before next winter, sometime or another!
Oh, a little extra excitement over there.
Oooh, I like seeing the branches back up where they should be! All the snow is beautiful, I can imagine the sun coming through felt lovely. What a stately new Buck.
He does look quite regal.
He looks very stately, maybe Louis? Harold? Constantine? Frederick? . So much snow, like a national park track here, the markers are just off the tramping line and are tall!!! You still have a heap of that everywhere.
I am so glad that your trees lifting up again. The new buck is magnificent.
An Emperor Buck has come! Cool! Your snow puts ours to shame.
I'm thinking those deer just wanted to get their personalized video made before their antlers fell off. Pretty! Linda in Kansas
The new buck looks majestic, and walks accordingly.
Bucks tend to stick together in a group once mating is over. I guess they're not too fussy about who is in the group
We have only a few cm of snow and I almost never see the deer, only tracks.
How very handsome the new arrival is. As he's late to the "throne" what about King Fredrick (col).
