My twisted ankle is better, so is my stubbed toe. I am back to working out. That is a relief.
We bought a new TV, since the old one died. They said it wasn't worth repairing. Televisions are really light, compared to the old days. I put the old TV into the new TV box, preparing to take it to the recycling depot. I hit my big toe with the box. I bent back the toe nail and there was blood. <sigh>
Off we went into town to donate the old TV at the recycle place in Perth. It was quite the excitement, on a Sunday morning. I warned JB that there was a lot of traffic.
The first motorcycle driver was funny. OK, maybe funny-peculiar not funny-haha. We caught up to him at the light. Apparently, you know the impatience of some youth, the red car in front didn't go fast enough through the yellow light. The car stopped at the light and the motorcycle driver gave an angry wave.

There were a lot of people out enjoying the summer's day.
I successfully placed the old, broken TV it in the bin. No more injuries.
I don't know what this shrub is, but it sure is pretty. I spotted quite a few around. iPhotos decided it was a rose bush, which it is not.
Just for a drive, we headed to the river. This was flooded one cold spring, during a swift thaw. A young lady drove the bed to quickly and ended up in the river. Off-duty firefighter rescued her. Then they put sturdy fencing in.
There were lots of people enjoying the river, kayaking and fishing off the docks.

We headed to Riverside Dr, I wanted to look at the river. When it was flooded, they opened up this temporary road between Canal Rd. and Evans Rd., in order to allow the four homeowners to get home. They closed it, as residents didn't want the traffic on the road when the gym was open. It's not a gym anymore.
A dead end, we turned around and headed to Port Elmsley. This is an entertaining yard.
Driving peacefully along, we heard a siren, and saw lights flashing behind us. Instead of pulling over, the truck passed us, until he realized what was going on, or thought he'd be caught. Could go either way. Selfish person, as the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) could be on their way to help a loved one of theirs.
Another motorcycle dude passing us. They must be so satisfied passing a couple of old farts!

Smiths Falls has a diverse community, and a whole range of old family homes turned into apartments. They will be really glad that while the Tweed medical marijuana plant was sold, it was sold back to the original builders, Hershey.
Here is one of the lots for sale, 1688 Rideau Ferry Rd. (Gun Range Update: Buyer Beware) Enjoy the 'peace and quiet of the Drummond/North Elmsley countryside,' with heavy traffic and a landowner who want to put in a gun range. Why tell the truth? What could go wrong? Mind you, no one told us about the gun range. I nearly reported the original realtor until I found out it was the Ontario Police shooting there.

That was a nice virtual drive through the countryside. Sunday drives were a feature of my childhood.
It's a shame that you injured yourself doing your good recycling deed.
It is good to get out & about but traffic can be such a trial these days.

Your bush photo is a type of hydrangea, I just forget the variety.
I laugh at the people who pass me, then end up sitting at the lights as long as I do, haha. We have bridge construction just back of us. The temporary light there is LONG. Sometimes we come upon it, on a weekend, with not another vehicle there. That must burn those speed demons.
Great ride-about! THose silly people who pass, then just sit at the next light right in front of you all! Loved the flowers! I think the first bush is Hydrangeas...of some sort or another.
Just had a lovely read of your recent posts, Jenn. You are very observant in your garden. I saw my first Wooly Bear caterpillar yesterday so they know the season is changing. I don't mind motorcyclists-though often they drive too fast, as much as bikers. I worry about the bikers sharing space with cars. What good news for Smith's Falls...I wonder what Hershey's will do with it.

I do not feel very safe on the roads anymore. This morning a truck passed me and was within a few metes of meeting another car head on. There were two other cars behind the one the truck almost hit that were trailing way too close. It could very easily been a 5 vehicle crash with all of us badly injured.
During this past month 3 vehicles have passed me in very unsafe places and I am not on the road all. that much.
You do have long, diverse drives.
I'm so glad your ankle is better! What a fun drive that was. Yay for a new TV. I remember when I got rid of my analog one -- I couldn't even pick it up, it was so heavy. My much larger screen I could pick up with one hand.I won't -- I'm not that coordinated. But I COULD!
Good that Hersheys is returning to Smiths Falls.

That is a pretty bush. Lovely flowers. Sometimes drivers like to play "hurry up and wait" lol passing us only to be caught by the same light. I'm just too old to be anything but amused ;)
It's frustrating to know how little realtors will reveal about a property :(
