We've a deer with a broken leg, the poor thing. She first showed up on Feb. 5th, just briefly. JB came home in the car, as I watched her, she ran off, and we didn't see her for 20 days. Maggie hasn't turned up since December. I figure she is gone.
She deserves a name. I called her Zelda. Here she is in action, holding her own. JB is feeding her extra rations.

We've a
new buck , as well. We haven't seen him before, as far as I know! Here he is just down the hill.
The FISHER FEB 25 came by...
The cats are happy. They snuggle.
Finally, Nutmeg readjusted the
cat bed. I think Cinnamon watched her.
Apparently, the bed was good. She hunkered down in it in the sunshine. It's a heating pad (25 w) and has a fuzzy blanket on top of the pad. Lots of people use them in barns or for feral cats.
Oregano, our feral or wandering cat...

Hello,
Your deer are so cute, I love all the photos and videos. The Fisher is a cool critter, love your sweet kitties. Wonderful critter post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and weekend!
Aw, the poor dear deer.
Gotta love the cats together.
...I wonder if she will heal and survive.

Nature is amazing... YAM xx
With your help that poor deer may survive. I'm glad that Oregano has returned.
Amazingly, she seems to be putting a little weight on her damaged leg. This close to Spring and with JB's generous handouts, I think she has a very good chance of healing.
Poor deer.
Oh so hope the deer will be okay ~ she seems feisty and strong and Oregano is doing ok ~ Great video shots ~ nature is so beautiful but harsh at times ~ HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU ^_^

Your cat photos are precious. Life in nature can be really tough. - Margy
Deer jump off some very steep slopes so I'm not surprised at a few broken legs. They find squirrels with broken bones.
Poor Zelda... That's got to be so difficult in the wild. I hope she'll be OK. That is definitely a beautiful buck.
Nice post. Feeling sad for the deer.
Hello,:=) You are so lucky to see deer "on your doorstep". I hope the the little deer survives. Last week we saw a fox with a damaged leg in our garden. It looked so thin, probably hadn't eaten in days. It's tough for animals in winter if they can't hunt. Loved the videos, and enjoyed my visit.
The deer are so beautiful and love seeing the cats! The Fisher really is a sleek critter!
