How cold is it?
Frost on bird bath
A cat found a star-nosed mole.
I transplanted Caitlin's orchid for her. It liked her office at work, but it didn't like working from home!
They put them in this little plastic pot inside the clay pot.
A few days later, your orchid is surviving, Caitlin!!!
Outside, the young deer are happily playing around.
They are perfectly happy to stay in this morning!

Well, I've just learned about a new critter - moles with stars for eyes!!! YAM xx
That is so cold -19 C on your trailcam!!! Oregano, he must be one cat determined to survive the cold and look for food everywhere. Hope you all keep warm.
When I was a kid in Utah and Arizona we always put the cat out at night, no matter the weather. He was always ready to come back inside the next morning. I have no idea now he survived but we didn't give it much thought way back when. Now, I'd never dream of such a thing.
Ive never seen a cat in that position!
Hi Jenn! :)) Oh I love seeing the deer playing around! :) Very freaking cold these days huh? That Atlantic wind is killing me!!!
Only a cat can be comfortable like that.
Great photos Jenn, loved the video too. Fun to see the deer prancing around. I shall never moan about our cold weather after seeing what yours is :)
Remarkable frost, and a fascinating mole!
I don't think I've ever seen a cat assume that posture.
Cold day for the end of January but lovely and sunny. Interesting mole. We have a feral cat that comes around too, wonder how it stays warm but it always looks healthy. We put out a bit of food in the mornings and it does stop by and eat.
BRRRRR!
fascinating pictures!
lvoe how you captured the frost in your shots. And, what a cool little critter. Never seen any star-nosed mole before. :)
Yes, I do agree ... Nutmeg does seem to have a strange way of resting!
All the best Jan
