Stormy weather

Monday, they were playing on top of the goldfish pond.

We were sitting out in the sunshine earlier in the week, knowing a storm was on the way.
This is what they predicted Friday morning for the day! We're in the pink area, winds, freezing rain...
We ended up with only 10 mm rain, and big winds. Then, it cleared up and cooled off.

JB went into town for supplies, and found that our local Independent was out of toilet paper. The clerk told him that people were coming out from Ottawa to buy it up. He found some at another store, but this is ridiculous! They are selling off the truck at Costco in Ottawa. They don't even have time to stock it! COVID-19 is a virus that attacks the upper respiratory system. SIGH.

Let us blame cats! Who doesn't need a giggle these days!

Outside, Cinnamon was having a blast in the riverlet on our driveway. He was standing in the puddle, watching the air bubbles, as the ground frost melted. Nutmeggie helped.

Daisy loved the driveway rivers in spring. She is an indoor cat, now. Her new owner says she is quite smart!

She liked frogging in the wetland, too!

Next week will be fun. We have the girls for Gramma Camp. For 3 weeks, actually, Monday to Friday. We'll see what trouble we can get into! The cats will adore the attention!

Hello,

Your kitty photos are cute, I did not think cats liked being in the water. I guess we need to ration the toilet paper. I hope your are staying safe and healthy there. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend! PS, thank you for the visit and comment on my blog.

More updates here every day. The latest, anyone flying into NZ, from Sunday midnight, will have to self-isolate for 14 days. So if the family were still coming, that would be a huge upheaval to their schedule. A motel in Auckland, if any still have vacancies, food delivered, laundry put out the door, and more!!! More big events have been cancelled, and although our supermarkets have TP, some shelves are out of hand-wash, and any you can buy is not alcohol based, so you need water, and use for 30 seconds. Love the videos, your spring must be there soon, we are really in Autumn now, cool mornings every day,. Take care, and avoid crowds.XXXXX

We haven't even ventured to the grocery store, but the parking lots are full and I'm sure there is lots of panic buying. I keep saying, you can't eat toilet paper (well I guess you can, but it isn't nutritious) We are just carrying on as usual, in our own little world! I just had a lovely walk through the garden,, listened to the birds, watch Chippy, got the feeders filled and enjoyed Nature.

Some of the shops here are now posting signs putting limits on number of items for high demand things. They should have been doing that a week ago, or more.
