Trees, forest walk, fall colours

The colours have been amazing. I know I keep saying this, but it is true! The fruit crops are small but very sweet. This was the result of the drought.

There's my girl! This is one of the paths down the hill, as I stood down in the meadow.

Daisy and I wrapped up hubby's water fountain for winter. It needs to be emptied, then dried with a towel. We'd done it just before the rains. We were rewarded with a rainbow.

Yes, the colours were wonderful but almost all of our trees are bare now except for some bright maples, a few cherries, oaks, and beeches.

We had very few walnuts this year but the wild apple trees and autumn olive trees were so full of fruit that it has been very difficult to walk under them.

A carpet of golden leaves, the last time I saw something like that was in Central Otago in 1986!!! Beautiful, love the fountain overcoat!!!

Wow! This is absolutely golden! I wonder how the colors are changing in Illinois. I shall have to ask my daughter.

You have awesome color. I would just stand and look at it and let it soak in.
