Junior was about to exit the yard, down the path beside the shed, but no one followed it. It came back, and the three hung around as we watched from the deck.
They hung about in the yard, while I photographed them! I was kind of behind the lilac tree, but there were aware I was there.
I didn't realize that the spots down the fawn's back, were in a straight line!

The next day, Aug. 31st, I fetched the trailcam, and found one fawn did itself a selfie!

The deer are certainly aware of you, but they seem to feel safe there.
great overhead one of the deer spots. and the night visitors, they make the fern fronds wave as they run past. What a grand place for them to come, bet they all love every part of your wetland, trees and forest.
I didn't know the spots were in a row either. We have mostly mule deer here although we do see white tails.

We saw a deer and fawn in town the other day. That's more common than seeing them in the bush. - Margy
